Stephen K.B Omane – FCCA, ICA, IIA, MSc. BSc.
K.B Omane is the CEO & Managing Partner of PenielStephens. He has held senior positions at Ernst & Young professional practice in Ghana and within the SDC Group (SDC Finance, SDC Capital & SDC Properties) subsidiaries of TAH Pty of South Africa where he served as the Group Chief Audit Executive. He was also the Group Financial Controller, West Africa- Ghana & Ivory Coast for Persistent Energy Africa (PEGAfrica-Renewable Energy company) where he led the finance function during due diligence for equity and debt capital raise. He was also in charge of all investor reporting, grants and donor reporting, compliance reviews and was also responsible for the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework of the company.
He has keen interest in Internal Controls Optimization and Investment Risk Management and brings a wealth of experience and perspective to the team. He has experience in Investment Risk Management, External Auditing, Corporate Finance, Taxation, Internal Auditing, Economic Research, IFRS Conversion, Management Consulting and Training.
He has consulted for many clients within the Not-for-Profit, Banking & Capital Markets, Oil and Gas, Mining, Energy & Utilities, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Hospitality industries.He has MSc. in Strategic Management from Trinity University College-Delaware, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA - U.K), a member of Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants-Ghana and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana.He is a member of the ACCA Ghana (Network Panel) and was part of the Africa Region team formed to review ACCA Global’s first Integrated Report. Kwame sits as a Non-Executive Director of Africa Trust Capital Limited, a Fund Management and & Investment Advisory firm licensed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana.
Alfred Elikem Klutsey, CA (GH), MBA, BSc.
Alfred is a Partner of PenielStephens and has several years consulting experience across various sectors including Banking & Capital Markets, Asset Management, Oil and Gas, Mining, NGOs, and Power sectors. He has previously led financial due diligence projects on major power projects in Ghana for the IFC and other financiers. He also served briefly as Project Finance Manager on Genser Energy’s coal fired IGCC power project. He has experience across various finance roles and boasts a thorough understanding of the tax regime in Ghana. He has particular expertise in financial modelling, capital and operational budgeting, investment advisory and application of IFRS across various industries. He has previously worked as part of the finance team on Newmont's US$1billion Akyem project, and was with Ernst and Young's professional practice in Ghana prior to that.
Alfred has Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (First Class). He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).
He is a ‘go-getter’ and is very passionate about empowering young people. Alfred sits as a Non-Executive Director of Africa Trust Capital Limited, a Fund Management and & Investment Advisory firm licensed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana.
Samuel Abban, CA(GH), MBA, BCom, Dipl.
Samuel Abban is an Associate Director of PenielStephens. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, ICAG. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana and a post graduate Diploma in Oil and Gas Accounting and Management from the Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana. He also possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Cape coast, (B. Com). He has worked with Unique Oil Company Limited as the Audit and Compliance officer and later the Finance Manager of the Company. He presently works for Gaso Petroleum Limited as the Finance Manager. He has broad knowledge in the downstream sector operations of the Oil and Gas Industry with over seven years of industry experience.
Lysbeth Osae-Omane, BL, LLB, CAMS
Lysbeth is an Associate Director of PenielStephens and has several years of legal experience across various areas including Corporate law, Intellectual Property, Insolvency & Liquidation, Corporate Governance, Anti-money Laundering, and litigation. She is in charge of legal and corporate services to our clients. She has been a State Attorney with the Attorney General’s Department and has also worked with the Legal Division of GCB Bank Limited and was the lead of the litigation team at Yilo Chambers.She has been a resource person for the Ernst & Young Executive Breakfast Meeting on Corporate Law in Ghana. She is a Solicitor and Barrister at Law and has been called to the Ghana Bar and also a member of the International Bar Association. She has a Bachelor of Laws from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and has attended executive program with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Charles O. Bosompem, ACCA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, BA, Dipl MCSE
Charles is an Associate Consultant of PenielStephens and has several years of systems auditing, systems administration and networking. He was a Manager with the Ghana Audit Service in charge of systems auditing and Information systems risk and controls assessment. He is Chartered Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK), member of the Certified Information Systems Auditors, Certified Information Systems Manager, Certified Information Systems Risk and control. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology and Diploma in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering. He is a member of the ISACA Board-Ghana and also acts voluntarily as the ISACA Accra Chapter Finance Director.
